James Skutt Named Executive Vice President, Fairos

TPA Industry Veteran Brings 17 Years of Expertise to Elevate Fairos TPA Partnerships with Innovation and Continuity
The OccuNet Company is pleased to announce that James Skutt has joined the organization as Executive Vice President of Fairos. With over 17 years of experience in the TPA industry and a proven track record of innovation, James brings expertise in operations, technology, and reference-based pricing (RBP) solutions to the company.
James began his career in 2007 with BAS Health, managing hardware and software platforms, including member and provider portals, mobile apps, and other technology solutions. He built a technology and data team to support the company's rapid growth during his tenure. He spearheaded the administration of RBP as a genuine alternative to the traditional PPO model. James developed world-class RBP-specific products and a member experience model that distinguished BAS Health in the marketplace.
By 2017, James had positioned BAS for its transition to private equity, driving growth through acquisitions and organic expansion to become the largest independent TPA in the country. Most recently, as COO of HealthComp's East Division, James oversaw three TPAs, including their RBP Center of Excellence, and helped establish the nation's largest RBP-focused Third Party Administrator.
