OccuNet is looking for candidates with medical billing or collections experience to join our growing team. The Provider Navigator will receive provider inquiries, balance bills and appeals regarding claims processed as reference based pricing. As each inquiry varies, this role must identify issues at hand and determine the necessary actions to negotiate the matter for OccuNet, our clients and the providers.

Additional responsibilities of this role (once successfully onboarded) will include:

  • Engage with medical providers to negotiate and resolve provider disputes of medical claims through education and negotiation. Outcomes should be mutually beneficial for the claims payer, the member and the provider.
  • Research and communicate information with clients and providers regarding medical claim pricing using reference based pricing.
  • Respond to general provider contract inquiries and non-routine claim issues.
  • Manage the process for receiving and tracking sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Pre-negotiations of medical services with select providers.
  • Meet and exceed client expectation on turn around times.
  • Coordinate with other teams and departments to investigate provider concerns and billing issues.

  • Someone with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships both internal and externally.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.

The Hospital Contractor will initiate, negotiate and execute physician, hospital and/or other provider contracts and agreements on behalf of our clients. This position will work on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Additional responsibilities of this role (once successfully onboarded) will include:

  • Communicate contract language and terms to include payment structures and reimbursement rates to providers.
  • Analyze financial impact of contracts and terms to determine next steps.
  • Identify and recruit providers based on network composition and needs.
  • Advise leadership to develop functional strategies on matters of significance.

  • Candidates with progressive network management experience, in particular negotiating hospital contracts.

OccuNet is looking for a detail oriented, team player to assist in claims administration while engaging with medical providers as needed. This role will be the point of assignment for Fairos incoming provider appeals, disputes and balance bill requests.

Some duties and responsibilities of this role (once successfully onboarded) will include:

  • Communicate via phone, email and certified letter to collect information necessary to accurately reprice medical bills.
  • Intake and triage of appeals or disputed claims processed with Fairos.
  • Preparation of an all-inclusive package with balance bill copies, EOBs, claim forms and other pertinent documents.
  • Daily entry of negotiation requests, appeals and balance bills.
  • Call on medical providers to verify specific information and/or obtain missing documents.

We are looking for:

  • A confident communicator with a variety of interpersonal skills.
  • Persistence as not all objectives will be met on the first call.
  • Comfort in a fast paced environment with the ability to switch tasks frequently.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in medical billing preferred.

OccuNet is looking for a passionate team member eager to help others as a Member Advocate for Fairos. Fairos is a fair and open reference-based pricing solution dedicated to finding a better way of taking care of our clients than the status quo. Our team of member advocates are what make the difference. As a member advocate you will interact with members to provide information in response to inquiries pertaining to medical claims responsibility – what the member actually owes for medical services. Communication takes place via certified letters, telephone and email. In addition to assisting members, you will also work with providers to explain payments received. Some additional qualities we are looking for in a member advocate:Exceptional communication skills. This role is responsible for clear, concise and personable messaging to our members.

  • The ability to see a task through. Ensuring letters were delivered, checking in with members on a regular schedule and following up on needed corrections are all examples of being the best advocate for our members.
  • Detail oriented and organized. This role will need to be able to focus on the details of the claims as well as keep meticulous record of member interactions.
  • The drive to be proactive. Our member advocates are always looking for ways to help make the process smoother for everyone involved. This may include reaching out to get additional information needed or letting members know changes in status before they call.
  • Desire to learn. The industry is ever changing, and we are constantly looking for ways to improve. Although experience in medical billing could help, we pride ourselves in investing in our team members through training and continual development.
  • Confident interpersonal skills. Due to the nature of the interactions with members, we need someone able to explain complex medical payment information while also able to show compassion for the person on the other end of the line.

This position requires independent research and resolve for questions and inconsistencies. Our Medical Bill Review must remain focused under pressure, and are responsible for meeting daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
