OccuNet is looking for a passionate team member eager to help others as a Member Advocate for Fairos. Fairos is a fair and open reference-based pricing solution dedicated to finding a better way of taking care of our clients than the status quo. Our team of member advocates are what make the difference. As a member advocate you will interact with members to provide information in response to inquiries pertaining to medical claims responsibility – what the member actually owes for medical services. Communication takes place via certified letters, telephone and email. In addition to assisting members, you will also work with providers to explain payments received. Some additional qualities we are looking for in a member advocate:Exceptional communication skills. This role is responsible for clear, concise and personable messaging to our members.

  • The ability to see a task through. Ensuring letters were delivered, checking in with members on a regular schedule and following up on needed corrections are all examples of being the best advocate for our members.
  • Detail oriented and organized. This role will need to be able to focus on the details of the claims as well as keep meticulous record of member interactions.
  • The drive to be proactive. Our member advocates are always looking for ways to help make the process smoother for everyone involved. This may include reaching out to get additional information needed or letting members know changes in status before they call.
  • Desire to learn. The industry is ever changing, and we are constantly looking for ways to improve. Although experience in medical billing could help, we pride ourselves in investing in our team members through training and continual development.
  • Confident interpersonal skills. Due to the nature of the interactions with members, we need someone able to explain complex medical payment information while also able to show compassion for the person on the other end of the line.

OccuNet has a position open within the Client Services team for Data Entry. This position will be responsible for entering medical bill information into the system with accuracy and efficiency. The bills are rushed and will come as an image which will need to be inputted into the processing system. When time allows Data Entry will backfill, cross train, and assist with additional duties within the Client Services team as well as the organization. Additional duties include:

  • Identify any missing information crucial to processing.
  • Route medical bills with missing information to the appropriate team members to resolve the issue.
  • Assist in special projects as assigned.

We are looking for the new team member to be detail oriented with exceptional keyboard skills. This person will also need to have the ability to learn the processes and procedures to know when a medical bill should be escalated to another team member. Here at OccuNet we pride ourselves on a work environment that fosters teamwork and commodore; as such we expect every candidate to value this as well.

This position is a full-time position located in in the OccuNet office in Amarillo, Texas. Normal business hours are Monday – Friday; 8-5. There is the potential for a second, temporary position for the summer months as well.

OccuNet is looking for a professional, detail-oriented candidate to join the team as a Medical Bill Review Analyst. 

In this role, you will perform technical pricing review for outpatient and inpatient facilities as well as professional bills. Alongside and following a rounded training program, you will be expected to keep abreast of coding and billing guidelines. This position requires independent research and resolve for questions and inconsistencies. Our Medical Bill Review must remain focused under pressure, and are responsible for meeting daily, weekly, and monthly goals. 

The ideal candidate:

  • Will have an eye for accuracy and attention to detail.

As a client facing role, this will entail being the dedicated first (and ideally only) point of contact. This role will be responsible for helping our clients understand the services we provide as well as work alongside them to explore opportunities to continue to improve their discounts and their experience with our products.

Here’s more of what the Account Manager will be doing:

·      Serving as the liaison between internal teams to address client inquiries and concerns while proactively seeking solutions to better the process ahead.

·      Listening and learning from our clients to communicate internally and appropriately.

·      Collecting, tracking and reporting client data to communicate to key points throughout the organization. Examples include Sales to ensure the implementation process reflects the initial proposals; Technology to make aware of any issues or opportunities for system improvements; and Operations to provide any proactive information to assist in expectations of the client.

·      Experience in managing healthcare benefit accounts with a thorough knowledge of the processes involved.

OccuNet is looking for a talented, focused technology professional with experience in development. We offer industry-unique medical cost containment solutions for our clients. Our developers work alongside team members to provide technical and developmental expertise to continually improve our business processes and support new and existing systems.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identifying, automating, and extracting source data.
  • Designing and maintaining databases and tables.
  • Loading source data to database tables.
  • Reporting related tasks.
  • Evaluating and recommending tools, technologies and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform.
  • Troubleshooting code level problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Creating processes for EDI file handling.

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: development, EDI, or reporting; or a Bachelor’s degree or higher with a technology related major and 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the previous areas.
  • 4+ years of experience with SQL Server including, but not limited to, design, administration, security, queries, views, stored procedures, indexes, functions, or triggers; or a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology related major and 3+ years of experience in SQL Server.
  • 3+ years of experience gathering business requirements from various sources including end-users and stakeholders.

Qualified candidates know:

  • The value of collaboration and what it takes to be a solid team member.
  • SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • SQL Server Agent.
  • Object-oriented architecture, SQL, web application development, security and open source technologies.
  • Proficiency in multiple software languages

  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) experience including 837 file processing.
  • Experience with data management best practices and disciplines.
  • High proficiency in use of Excel and reporting tools (SSRS, Tableau).
